Another poem from Mr. Chambers:

Truth establishes trust
Pour not curdled milk
Into a heart of
Pure love.

While intent of these articles is to present Jesus Christ, the only Savior, it is necessary to reiterate once again that there is an Adversary who, in eternity past was  called Lucifer and who openly rebelled against God and sought to thwart God’s Plan for the Ages.  His rebellion before human history began is recorded by the prophet Isaiah.  “But you [Lucifer] said in your heart, 'I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly in the recesses of the north.  'I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High' (Is 14:13-14). That insatiable desire to be worshipped by God’s angelic creation also evidenced itself in the Garden of Eden upon the creation of the first man and woman.  “Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made” (Gen 3:1).  The serpent, an appropriate description of his character and schemes, successfully deceived Eve by questioning and denying the Word of God.  "Indeed, has God said, 'You shall not eat from any tree of the garden'" (Gen 3:1 b)? The LORD had instructed Adam … “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die" (Gen 2:16-17). Scheming and lying, “the serpent said to the woman, "You surely shall not die!  "For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Gen 3:4-5).  Thus, with the Fall, sin entered into creation, but God who is rich in mercy, revealed to Adam and Eve, who at that moment were spiritually dead and thus alienated from God, the Plan of Salvation by which the Seed of the woman would go to the Cross, pay the sin debt of man to a righteous God, thus crushing the power of Satan to hold the human race in the bondage of sin.  Scripture reveals innumerable attempts by the Adversary to prevent the coming of the Savior to earth and going to the Cross to pay the sin debt of mankind to God.  His attacks against a promised Savior reached their zenith during the ministry of Jesus.  In answer to the rhetoric of the Pharisees, Jesus said …“You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him” (John 8:44).  Satan’s desperate attempt to have the humanity of Christ worship him, him motivating religious leaders to discredit and even kill Jesus thus preempting the Cross, his inciting of hatred so that the scourging at the hands of the Romans would bring death, and finally the crucifixion itself, were all part of the diabolic plan to circumvent the promise given in the Garden by the pre-incarnate Christ … “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel" (Gen 3:15 NIV).  The Cross is now a historical fact and so is the resurrection.  Jesus said … “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6). Satan continues to perpetuate his lie that there are many ways to God.  But God “has also set eternity in the hearts of men” (Eccl 3:11) and as demonstration of His absolute fairness [Justice], He gives each person the opportunity to either believe Satan’s lie of self effort to attain salvation or God’s Truth … “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Rom 10:9 NIV). All mankind must choose one way or the other.  That choice makes an eternal difference!
