We pulled off to take a leisurely walk by the river and take pictures. The waters bounced from rock to rock as if running down the river. It reminded me of the balls in a pin ball machine being thrown from bumper to bumper. Kids played on the rocks at river’s edge. Some tried to hop from rock to rock in an attempt to cross. Green moss formed on the rocks made the crossing treacherous. Even if they waded in the deeper water the sediment would cause many to bathe sooner than expected. Been there?

I believe everyone likes a nice river walk. Even though you would never attempt to cross a swollen river aren’t there times, like those kids, you’d attempt the rock crossings? Beware! You might want to stick to the river walk.

"My son, let them not depart from your eyes', keep sound wisdom and discretion; so they will be life to your soul and grace to your neck. Then you will walk safely in your way and your foot will not stumble, when you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden terror; nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; for the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught." (Proverbs 2:21-26)
