Every new movie seems focused on the living dead, Zombies. Does it surprise you? The reason for all the craziness these days is not only liberalism; we are surrounded by the dead. It dominates our world.

The …Lord ... set me in …valley…full of dry bones. Ezekiel 37:1

Ezekiel is surrounded by the bones of the dead. Everywhere he looked he saw dead people; the nation of Israel in its desolation, destitution, and devastation. He was commanded to preach to them and to pray over them. He obeyed and saw those dead bodies brought back to life.

The Zombies before us depict the condition in our world; most are dead. Until we have a similar vision of the world we live in. we will not be stirred to action. We need to see what Ezekiel saw when he looked at the bones, a lost, dead world and reach them.

In the 1700's a cobbler in England kept a map of the world on a wall of his workshop to pray for the nations of the world. He shared his burden at a meeting of ministers and was told by one of the senior men of God, “Sit down young man. When God wants to convert the heathen He will do it without your help or mine.” But William Carey’s enthusiasm was not dampened by the response. He eventually left the shores of England for India, to do pioneer missionary work.

Although the people around us may be living their lives, working their jobs, enjoying their hobbies, raising their families; while intellectual and apparently fit, if they do not know Jesus Christ, they are spiritually dead. When you encounter zombies tell the dead that they can live.
