…we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:7

My sons, if you accept my words and store them up, turn your ear to wisdom and apply it to your heart understanding. If you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

From the Lord’s mouth comes wisdom and understanding. He holds success in store for the upright and is a shield to those whose walk is blameless. He guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

When you seek Him you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and every good path. Wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will protect you and understanding will guard you.

Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked, whose words are mean, whose paths are crooked and who are devious. Proverbs 2:12-15

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom… Psalm 111:10
