Recently I’ve watched several friends deal with illnesses and loss of loved ones. Life has a way of knocking the wind out of our sails. The trials we face each day overwhelm and discourage us. Distraction creeps in and before long we find ourselves inundated with doubt and worry, somehow forgetting that there is a loving God who knows and promises to meet our every need. What if we truly believed?

“For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him, the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

God has given us his Word to assure us of His promises for protection, provision, and peace; to strengthen us for the spiritual battle we face each day; and to fill us with the hope and encouragement we need to live in a world besieged by problems, worry, and fear. Yet few of us take him at His Word and walk in the victory available to us as believers. Instead, we rely on our own intelligence, emotions, and resources to carry us through each day. For many, God’s Word is regarded as outdated and irrelevant, but nothing could be further from the truth!

What is your greatest need today? God promises to supply all our needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

Life could be glorious if we truly believed God and took him at his Word!

Dare to believe today and walk in the victory that is yours in Christ.
